Here at Trash Wizard Junk Removal we wanted to include the original content from the Michael Calvin Hamblin Scholarship webpage:

“The Michael Calvin Hamblin Scholarship Fund was started in 2006 after the death of Mikey Hamblin, a beloved brother, son, and friend. He had just turned 23-years-old when he was diagnosed with Acute Myleoid Leukemia. After fighting hard for 8 months, Mikey died at home while surrounded by his family and friends.

Mikey did not always have an easy life. He struggled with many inner demons and fought the hard fight against drug addiction for far too long. He did not have a chance to beat his addiction, as cancer took him from us first. His struggles with addiction inspired him to have hope that one day, when he won his this battle with addiction and with cancer, he could help others with their struggles and make a difference in others lives. This is what his family is doing for him now. This past year we raised enough money to distribute two scholarships in Mikey’s name. These scholarships went to students of Westfield State College who are enrolled in the “Drug Counselor Program”. These students are working towards becoming certified drug counselors who will spend their lives trying to help people, like Mikey, who cannot seem to break away from their addictions. Our family truly appreciates all of your support!! Thanks You!! —-The Hamblins”

Please come out and support the Hamblins and this selfless cause. In memory of Mikey, Trash Wizard has offered to help remove any of the trash generated by the event, as well as, donate a gift certificate in Mikey’s name for 1 load of junk removal to be raffled off at this years event.
