“Yes,” she said.  “Another company quoted me $700.”

“$700!,” I replied.

I then went on to inform her that Trash Wizard’s price was much lower.

“You’re looking at $225 at max.”

She looked as if she saw a ghost.  She then thanked me profusely for coming out, and  asked me how much she owed me.  I told her that Trash Wizard offers ‘Free Estimates’ just like everybody else.  Then the second shocker–the previous junk company told her she had to pay $50 for the estimate!!!  Not knowing any better, she paid them!

It was unfortunate that a Worcester resident had to be taken advantage of by a local company.  I let her know that all companies, whether they’re contractors, painters or landscapers always give a ‘Free Estimate’.  That’s how companies obtain new customers.

Well, needless to say Trash Wizard will be performing the job.  I only wish she had called us first, we could have saved her $50 bucks.  Atleast she didn’t pay the $700 she was quoted.  I sincerely hope no one else gets taken advantage in this manner by anyone.  I always encourage customers and potential customers to shop around before settling on a price.  It’s just good business to let the customer know that Trash Wizard’s prices are comparable to industry standards and that there are other options.

Limited Edition DOG TAGS will be sold at the stART on the Street festival. Besides a fun and affordable souvenir, purchasing a
DOG TAG entitles the bearer to special promotions at local businesses during and after the festival similar to a coupon.

That’s where Trash Wizard comes in:

Trash Wizard will create a special promotion in coordination with stART on the Street (for example: $100 off a $350 load of junk removal for Worcester, MA residents.).

With so many people in Worcester for the festival, don’t miss this opportunity to come out and meet new people and local artists!

stARTs goal is to keep the visitors to the event in the city AFTER THE EVENT IS OVER!

How many DOG TAGS will be available for purchase? Where can attendees purchase the tags?

2,000 DOG TAGS will be sold during the festival at the two information booths and by strolling volunteers throughout the festival.

What will the tags look like?

The two sided pendant will feature the stART on the Street logo on one side and a local artist created logo for the 2009 festival
theme which is “stART in Motion”.

How will attendees know Trash Wizard of Worcester, MA is a participant in this promotion?

A special page on the stART on the Street website will promote DOG TAGS before and after the event, as well as, a printed list that will be included with each tag purchase

The goal of stART on the Street is to draw attendees to other businesses in Worcester – They want all attendees to experience the independent businesses that make us all love Worcester!

stART will sell dog tags as souvenirs during the festival with or without this promotional component but they want to offer involvement to as many businesses as possible!

Here are a few examples of promotions you can offer, depending on the type of business you own:
“10% off a service (haircut, massage, car wash…) with an expiration date of September 30, 2009.”

If you are a restaurant you may offer a free appetizer with an entrée purchase, free dessert…whatever is the most cost effective
method to draw customers to your location!
