This is just another reminder that this Sunday, July 12th will be a day of celebration and remembrance out at Indian Ranch in Webster, MA. Trash Wizard of Worcester is honored to be offering our services to be raffled off at the event. All proceeds will go to benefit the Michael Calvin Hamblin Scholarship Fund. Please come out and support this great cause with the whole family.

Help Support the Friends of Mercy Centre

Help Trash Wizard remove your junk for free! That’s right, Trash Wizard is looking for gently used flat screen monitors to donate to the Friends of Mercy Centre in Worcester, MA. These donations will help families and children with developmental disabilities that attend the Mercy Centre schools in Worcester. Your donations will be greatly appreciated and much needed. By calling Trash Wizard you’ll save the cost of disposal, support an honorable cause and receive tax deductions on your 2009 tax return!

The Friends of Mercy Centre is a non-profit fundraising program whose proceeds benefit The Mercy Centre School. The Mercy Centre has been providing opportunities for children and adults with developmental disabilities since 1960.

Regular fundraisers include Benefit Auctions, Poker Runs and Regular Charity Car Washes and Can Drives taking place at the Real Living Barbera Associates office on 451 Grove St. in Worcester, MA.

Here’s a little inside secret on the trash business–most junk removal companies price jobs on their accessibility. So, say you have a pile of wood in the back yard that was estimated at $200 dollars. Ask for a price cut if you can get your trash curbside. I know Trash Wizard offers great prices for customers looking to roll up their sleeves and get their junk closer to the street. Think about it, if I have to get a crew of guys to walk back and forth from the truck up to the attic the job price increases significantly. We are currently taking all plastic resin chairs and used pairs of shoes in good condition for free to be donated to local groups and artists. Help Trash Wizard support local artist Susan Champeny

Susan Champeny is a Worcester artist who is deeply committed to supporting local art programs in Worcester. In the summer of 2008 she envisioned and created five Chair Arches that were built and displayed in Elm Park. Because of the success of the arches, she has been commissioned to repeat the project this summer, but she needs your help.

The arches are built from discarded resin-cast lawn chairs and this is your chance to support local artists and have someone haul away some of your trash! When you collect thrown away lawn chairs, Susan Champeny would be really pleased to pick them up and store them until it is time to build an arch from them.

Please call Michelle at 508-799-7068 or contact Linda Matus at babcilinda@aol.com and they will arrange to pick up any chairs you would like to donate.

Once the project is underway Susan will happily give credit to all contributors, which accomplishes two things–the population of Worcester County knows you support local artists and they also know you “think green” and recycle usable materials.
